About Me
and welcome to my online portfolio. My name is Maddi Dolan and I am from a suburb west of Chicago, Illinois. In spring of 2022, I graduated with magna cum laude honors and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from The University of Tampa. Throughout college, I worked as a staff writer for UT's student newspaper, The Minaret.

Alongside my academic career, I was an active member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. I am now a proud alumnae.
​
Currently, I am the Communications Specialist for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.
My interests include travel writing, feature writing, photojournalism and environmental journalism. My other hobbies include scuba diving, traveling, photography and videography.

Outside of journalism, I have a deep passion for the environment and climate change. I believe journalism is the best way to fight the climate crisis and make a difference for future generations.
