Greek Week 2019

Battle of The Decades

Greek Week is an annual, week long event, hosted by Fraternity and Sorority Life at The University of Tampa. This Year, Greek Week took place during the week of February 17th to February 23rd. Greek Week consists of several competitions throughout the week for all greek life organizations on campus. There were 4 councils and 25 different greek chapters that were split up into 7 teams which competed for the Greek Week trophy and first place title.

2019 Greek Week had a theme of Battle of The Decades. The Teams and decades consisted of: Team 1 with the 40’s & 50’s, Team 2 with the 60’s, Team 3 with the 70’s, Team 4 with the 80’s, Team 5 with the 90’s, Team 6 with the 2000’s, and finally Team 7 with the 2010’s.

The Greek organizations at The University of Tampa not only had fun during the course of Greek Week, but they also broke records. UT Fraternity and Sorority life raised over $38,000 for Relay for Life and for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in only a weeks time.

Each team won different events throughout the week, but Team 5 won the title as Greek Week champions with the most overall points in the end.
